A trip down memory lane

Today inspired by a friends email. I took a but  of trip down memory lane via some of my facebook and photobucket albums.

I just thought id share some pictures...

This was me as a baby, back in 1977:
With my daddy RIP xx

Loving the 70's wallpaper! lol

Playing with my dads new tool box one Christmas

Me  in my teenage years, i wasnt so fat then. Age 15.
This was  before i was almost blinded in a shooting incident.
One day when im up to it i'll blog about it, but basically a teenage boy thought it would be funny to shoot at me with an air rifle in the face.
Not being dramatic but that day changed my life. All the kids in school  thought it was funny to shout 'bang' at me, kids being kids! I got quite badly bullied through no fault of my own, and stopped working at the riding stables soon after that, and gained a ton of weight.  Something i still struggle with these days. One day i will  be thinner again, i will get there i have to! I cant let all this beat me for the rest of my life!

A much happier event! 4 generations. 2 of my 4 wee ones, me when i was blonde, my mum and my nanna :)

Our house where we live now when we first bought it. It had no electricity or sewerage, water was just an outside  tap!! My mum, dad and i renoated it ourselves. Its still work in  progress in some aspects, work slowed down after my dad passed away back in 2004. My mum is disabled, so hubby and i have been doing it as and when we can! Its not as bad as this now though lol!
Weird fact about us an houses....
Our old house in Wales... the couple we sold the house to the husband ended up  murdering his wife years later, eek!

Our house in Lincolnshire.... someone hung themselves in the house years before we bought it.

This house now... The person who owned it went after the neighbour to shoot them.

All  that  is weird what  with that and me getting shot, as we actually live in a very safe area which is realively crime free. You can go out for the day and leave keys in your  car, your door unlocked etc! Not that im suggesting it, but nothing happens if you do!

Me and hubby when we first met for real. We were penpals, and after a year or so he came up from Peterborough to Scotland to meet me for real. He was that nervous and  shy that he never spoke more than 6 words in the first 3 or 4 hours lol!
He worked quick though as he proposed to me on day 2!
This was a couple of days after he arrived, before going on a night out

We have been married 11 years in August.
I would love to renew our vows sometime in the next year or two.

More pictures later...
